For international people who would like to participate in a CodeForIndia Fellowship we invite you to Bangalore, India for a 3, 6 or 8 month where you’ll develop open source web and mobile applications for positive social change. Initial projects will include:
- developing Android apps for the Learning X-Prize.
- working on a Node.js based case management system for Zariya
- developing Android apps for rural health workers. You’ll be staying on an organic farm just 15 km from Koramangala, down town Bangalore. Public transport to and from the city is easy, and we mostly float around on electric unicycles anyway.
We have a yoga, meditation, movement and coding program going on. You are most welcome to participate. We ask that you volunteer some time each week to mentoring novice developers and maintaining the space.
The Fellowship Schedule is: Sept 28 - Dec 19 2015 Bangalore Jan 4 - April 2 2016 Bangalore April 11 - June 4 2016 Dharamshala
Food and Camping for CodeForIndia Fellows is free. There is no monthly stipend for international participants.
